We’re glad that you found the Web home of Prince of Peace United Church of Christ in South St. Louis County. We hope these pages give you a taste of who we are, but the best way to encounter this community is in person. Every Sunday, at 10:45 am, you can find us at 4966 Towne South Road for worship and fellowship. We’d love to meet you!

Our building is at the base of a hill where several large oaks stand. As we’ve been around them for a while, we’ve found a few things true about those majestic oaks. They hold beauty in every season. They give us shade! They tower above us and remind us that we are rather small. Most of all, they remind us of the steadiness and wonder of growing.

At Prince of Peace, as a congregation of the United Church of Christ, we find our purpose in growing in service of God through Jesus Christ. We strive to grow in hope by moving to the promise of God’s future for all people and all creation. We strive to grow in hospitality through our hearts’ welcome of the neighbor – near and far. We strive to grow in the love of Jesus through our acts and our service.

Our Offerings
What We Provide
Founded in 1963 as a Towne South neighborhood church in south St. Louis
County, Prince of Peace United Church of Christ is rooted in meaningful Sunday
worship, warm fellowship, and care for the neighbor. We follow in the way of Jesus
Christ and endeavor to make his love known through our daily lives and in the
community that we form together.
Gatherings
We meet every Sunday, at 10:45 am. Our service is open to the public and we hope to see you there!
Sunday School and Learning
Each Sunday during our 10:45 am morning service, we offer Sunday School for
any children in worship. Sunday School teachers prepare a short lesson or activity for
the half-hour of Sunday School time.
Adult learning is also an important part of our fellowship at Prince of Peace. At
times throughout the year, we share in adult Bible study and other learning
opportunities.
Community Events
Whether it’s sharing meals to raise funds for our regular mission offerings or to
financially reinforce special projects, like supporting a Haitian school, we at Prince of
Peace are rooted in table fellowship. We relish the blessing to eat and share
community together and to delight in periodic opportunities to share this fellowship with
neighboring congregations and other partners in ministry.
